Provincial Nominee Program for Prince Edward Island

In order to support four initiatives—increased business and economic development, an increased supply of skilled workers, increased population, and the achievement of provincial demographic, social, and cultural goals—the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program expedites immigration to Canada for individuals and their families who meet provincial requirements.

Skilled Worker Category: 

If a skilled worker meets the requirements of this employer-driven stream and has a job offer in Prince Edward Island, they may be nominated for Canadian permanent residency.

  • A job offers for a full-time position from a Prince Edward Island company in a profession with a skill level of “0,” “A,” or “B” according to the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
  • Completion of post-secondary education, with a formal education requirement of at least 14 years.
  • Between the ages of 21 and 55.
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent, full-time employment.
  • A certain amount of proficiency in English or French is required for the position.
  • Sufficient funds for settlement.
  • Exhibited a desire to relocate to Prince Edward Island.
Critical Worker Category

This category is available to foreign workers already residing in PEI who hold employment in particular critical-demand occupations and is intended to address labour shortages. Principal requirements for nomination are:

A full-time job offers in one of the following professions from a Prince Edward Island company:

  •  A truck driver.
  •  A customer service member.
  •  A labourer.
  •  Food and beverages server.
  •  Housekeeping attendant.
  • Six months of work experience with the employer in Prince Edward Island.
  • Valid work authorization for Canada.
  • A minimum of 12 years of formal education and a high school graduation.
  • Between the ages of 21 and 55.
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent, full-time employment.
  • Show basic knowledge of either the French or English languages.
  • enough money for the payout.
  • Exhibited a desire to relocate to Prince Edward Island.
